Cheshire Archives and Local Studies Open Day
On Wednesday 4 June, ELS is holding drop in sessions for schools, teachers and school staff to find out more about Cheshire Archives and Local History and to view the resource packs being created for schools to borrow via ELS.
Come along between the following times:
10.00 - 12.00 - KS1
13:00 - 15:00 - KS2
It will be open to all schools whether currently subscribing to ELS or not. Find out what we and our partners from Cheshire Archives can offer you.
Virtual Book Chats
Join ELS staff online as we talk you through our current recommended reads to entice your pupils and help boost reading for pleasure in the school. We'll highlight new releases as well as some of our favourites. Please feel free to bring along your own top reads too! Open to anyone working with primary school pupils. The dates for 2024/25 are:

ELS Awareness Sessions
If you'd like to find out more about ELS, come along to one of our awareness sessions. You'll get a behind the scenes tour and get to see all the wonderful resources we loan to subscribing schools, including books to support the curriculum and reading for pleasure, objects and artefacts, and story sacks. You'll also find out about the support we can offer for your school library and class reading corners, as well as training events that we offer throughout the year.
If your school subscribes to the service, there'll be chance to borrow resources to take away on the day.
Sessions will be held at ELS throughout 2024/25 on the following dates:
Tuesday 10 June, 4pm - 5pm
