Primary Schools

Our service to primary schools is provided through an annual subscription. The cost of the subscription depends on pupil numbers. By subscribing to our service your school is entitled to:

• 1800 curriculum resources each year.
• Access a wide range of resources including books, artefacts, story sacks, DVDs and audiobooks.
• The facility to order resources online.
• Regular delivery of resources direct to your school or you can visit us to choose resources and see the wide range of stock for yourself.
• Two books per pupil on long term loan for your classroom or library. Up to 300 of these can be swapped for new titles on an annual visit by our mobile library. This is in addition to the 1800 curriculum resources.
• Access to help and advice on all aspects of school library provision.
• The opportunity to attend our free Junior Librarian user groups.
• Access to our meeting room. This can be used free of charge for school inset days, subject to availability.

How to Subscribe

Cheshire West and Chester primary and special schools sign up to the service through eCWIP and Cheshire East primary and special schools through ChESS. Both run from September to August.

Primary and special schools in Warrington and Halton, and secondary schools across all authorities, sign up to the service through a Service Level Agreement which is sent out to all schools in January and runs from April to March each year.  

We can arrange for schools to subscribe to the service part way through a subscription year, with a view to buying in a full subscription at the appropriate renewal time.
